Duncan Chesworth spent more than 17 years working in transport and logistics before deciding, in 2020, to start a business of his own in Stoke-on-Trent.
He started with a computer, a desk, a phone and the contacts he'd built up over his career. Today Chesworth Freight has a team of 9 in the office and 15 full-time drivers, running everything from small vans on same day jobs to 44-tonne artics on full loads and container work.
What hasn't changed is how we work. Customers deal with a planning desk that knows their jobs, get a straight price, and never have to chase us for updates.
